Sustainability
We believe that the activities of the entertainment business should not harm nature or the environment around us. Entertainment is a luxury allowed to the senses, but healthy and clean nature is the source of all our basic needs. Nature, in its most lush and greenest form, is the basis for the environment and, in turn, for society. The preservation of a clean environment and nature should therefore be a common value and responsibility for all of us.
Tallinn Concert Hall as a company takes responsibility for its ecological footprint and consumption with dignity and has implemented a sustainability policy in its company to structurally implement this.
The environmental management system is the basis for us to strive to ensure that all decisions and choices made continue to be profitable and effective for the company, but also environmentally aware and sustainable.
Every visitor to the Concert Hall, both the consumer and the provider of entertainment, leaves behind an ecological footprint, the size of which we as a venue want to reduce. In order to consistently implement an environmentally friendly policy, the Concert Hall directs the €1.40 service fee added to event tickets towards the company's sustainable development.
We take it to heart:
- to invest in environmentally friendly technologies to reduce paper consumption;
- to conscientiously sort all unavoidable waste;
- to prefer domestic production in cafes and increase the selection of organically labeled products every year;
- to use heat, water and electricity reasonably;
- to minimize overall consumption during events and off-season.
Every visitor to our house is a consumer whose consumption is based on preferences. We want to draw the attention of every visitor, as a consumer, to conscious choices. It is the conscious choices of each individual that are the basis of sustainability in the big picture.
In our activities, we follow the national principles for organizing environmentally friendly events. You can read more here: https://kliimaministeerium.ee/sites/default/files/documents/2025-07/Keskkonnahoidlike%20%C3%BCrituste%20juhend%20%28EST%29_0.pdf
Principles of Corporate Social Responsibility:
-
We support honest and transparent business practices and invest in the development of our employees and environmental sustainability. We contribute to economic transparency and growth. We ensure a safe working environment and care for the health and well-being of our employees, including their mental health. We provide social support, development, and training opportunities for employees when needed. Through our activities, we aim to influence and guide societal behavior and attitudes.
Dear visitors, we encourage you to:
- choose paperless options to replace your physical ticket. At the Concert Hall, it is enough to open SebraPilet on your mobile phone at the ticket office or present your event ticket at Piletilevi's new TaskuSebra;
- order your favorite coffee table for the break via the website in advance. This way, you will help us optimize the quantities of meals ordered and thus reduce food waste;
- choose alternatives to a car as a means of transportation. The Concert Hall is easily accessible by bus, tram and trolley. We are located within the city center, just a short walk and/or bike ride away.
Dear Concert Hall customer and organizer, you can also contribute to our sustainability as a society with a few conscious steps.
We ask you to:
- avoid using disposable tableware, especially plastic, when catering for artists. Feed your artists with dignity and ask us for service;
- help sort the waste by placing the waste in the correct bin. You will find bins for glass, packaging, paper/cardboard, biowaste and household waste;
- when leaving the dressing room, close the TV screen and turn off the lights. This will help limit unnecessary waste of electricity;
- critically evaluate the contents of the gift bags created specifically for conference clients and the selection and quantity of free products offered by cooperation partners.
- BOLT and TUUL scooters!
There is also an opportunity to rent Bolt and Tuul scooters near the Alexela Concert Hall. The use of electric scooters reduces CO2 emissions, traffic jams and air pollution and improves the urban environment.
Just find the bike, unlock it with the app, follow the safety rules and park carefully. - Information about the surrounding parks, landscapes and nature reserves: https://visittallinn.ee/eng/visitor/map?object_category_id=483
GREEN KEY

The Green Key environmental label is a leading environmental a quality label that is currently available for tourist establishments, attractions and conference centres in Estonia. The Green Key label was awarded to the Tallinn Concert Hall in 2018. Through the international label, we hope to display and communicate our environmentally friendly attitudes to international clients.
Our goal is to help put Estonia on the map of international environmental conferences as a potential destination, and by proudly wearing the Green Key label ourselves, we can make our contribution.
