Preparing for her wedding day, Sophie’s happiness is tinged with regret: she would like nothing more than to be walked down the aisle by her father, but unfortunately for her she has no idea who her father is or where to find him! Having found in her mother’s diary the names of three men her mother was involved with that fateful summer 20 years ago, she decides to secretly invite her potential fathers to the wedding and to solve the riddle of her parentage. Sophie’s mother Donna finds herself unexpectedly faced with relationships from her past she has never talked over - and one tragicomic moment of confusion follows another...
